Privacy Policy

bavvideo (the “service”) makes personal greetings: a song and a video built from your photos and from what you tell us about a person. This page explains what data we take, why, and who it goes to. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

What we collect

When you sign up: your name, email address, password (we store only an irreversible hash — the password itself is unknown to us), the IP address used at sign-up, and your interface language. If you sign in with Google, instead of a password we receive your Google ID, name, email address and avatar link.

When you create a greeting: the photos you upload; the name of the person and the facts you tell us about them; the occasion, language, song style and other settings; and the results — lyrics, audio, video.

When you pay: the payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy. Card details never reach us; we only learn that an order was paid, its amount and its id.

We do not use advertising trackers, pixels or web analytics. There is not a single one on the site.

What we use it for

To produce and deliver the greeting you ordered.
To email you when the work is ready, with the link you share.
To restore access to your account and to confirm the address is yours.
To grant and charge credits and to keep your payment history.
To investigate failures: errors go to a log kept on our own server.

The legal basis is performance of our contract with you (the public offer) and your consent, given when you upload material.

Who receives the data

The greeting is made by AI models that run on our suppliers’ servers, so your material does leave our machines:

The service runs on servers in Germany (netcup GmbH). Suppliers process data under their own policies; we send them only what your own order requires, and nothing for advertising. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Account, orders and finished works — while your account exists.
Intermediate files (draft frames, temporary renders) — 90 days, then deleted.
Finished videos and songs — until you delete the project.

The links you share

A finished gift opens at a random address. Such pages are deliberately closed to search engines (noindex): a gift should look good in a chat, not turn up in search results for someone’s name. Anyone you send the link to can open it without a password — that is the point of it.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, to get a copy of your material, or to delete the account entirely. Write to hello@bavvideo.com and we will do it. Deleting the account deletes the uploaded photos and the finished works as well; they cannot be restored afterwards.

What is stored in your browser

Only what sign-in needs: a session key and your chosen language. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

The service is not meant to be used on their own by children under 16. If you upload a child’s photo, you must be their parent or guardian, or have that person’s consent.

Changes

If this policy changes we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting your rights will also be emailed to you.
